Anyways you're not going to drop points against Southampton with just one player playing badly-

Holding was below average
Zinchenko made mistakes defensively
Partey was v sloppy
Jesus missed chances
Ramsdale dropped a clanger

Trossard starting and a better start we could have survived the rest of the above

I really think Arteta would've started Trossard for Saka (He couldn't drop Jesus/Martinelli due to form) but would've killed his confidence with the penalty miss and being dropped

awooga83 no one on here has been better prepared for crushed hopes then yourself 🙂 I do think there is good evidence (even predating this season) to suggest we can surpass 70+ points next season again but given how last season ended and what's happening this April, its going to need a good stock-take in the summer.

James Thought White was worse at Anfield for an individual performance. Partey was superb at Anfield. Last 2 games he was well off though.

Zinchenko was so so bad. Like what goon said, he was terrible in possession, constantly giving it away. When in attack, he over complicate things and slows many attack down by over passing and doing pointless triangles. Hopelessly out of position for the 2nd goal and poor on the 3rd goal. We were lucky he was not playing at West Ham, but we really need Tierney at City.

Clrnc I don't know how you start him though. We absolutely have to get Trossard into the first XI but you can't drop Saka or Martinelli so you are either dropping Jesus or putting Trossard into the midfield. Nelson should be getting a lot more minutes though, he looks determined yet calm when he gets on. We need that right now.

Based on what little we've seen of him this season, it's going to be gutting to lose him on a free transfer.

Sicario2 - Tier 1

Nelson is a good super sub but I think that’s about it. In EL where he has started he has been poor. Coming on against tired legs with his tricks and pace is different story. Not sure he has the concentration to last full 90 effectively.

He should come off for Martinelli around the 60th min mark as that is when usually the Brazilian gets tired due to his high energy style of play.

You do realised most of Marti impact this season is in the first half. When he tires he mostly run into dead end as he's not sharp.

Yeah I think that makes sense. Again should have had way more minutes like that in games where we were ahead and playing well. If there is one thing Arteta needs to take away from this season its how to rotate his players better.
