Lukazan Brighton, Everton, may be West Ham as they try and survive. Football is funny. City nearly blew the title on the final day last season going 2 down to an awful Villa side at home. I didn't see us drawing too Southampton at home. Nor did any City fan. Look how Southampton crumbled when we applied real pressure, they couldn't cope. We would have destroyed Southampton if we played without the nervous energy we seem to have now.

Rohit yeah City will drop points but ppwe will too. And tbh if City lost to us and dropped straight after we'd probably freeze up and bottle it again anyway.

Qwiss fair bit of getting to the byline and getting good balls in tonight, which I feel has been missing a bit of late. Though I’d argue not enough of it once the left back was booked.

On the one hand you think Saliba is our best and most important player, on the other hand you can't see how conceding 7 goals in 3 games has nothing to do with his absence.

Odegaard really came alive at the end there. Turned the screw, led like a captain and I don't say it because of his goal but it felt like he took onus and responsibility. I wish he could do it from the start or earlier in the match. When he changed his gear he looked a different level. Again, it's so annoying because the focus on Holding is huge, unfairly. It's within each player honestly to lift their performance as a number of important ones are well below what is possible for them.

Rohit I think that was helped a lot by Trossard who brings that sort of energy and drive. Partey was so passive and safe. He’s more a problem than a star at the minute.

For all the talk of Rice, Caicedo etc, I think the biggest talking point needs to be about the succession of Partey and what the midfield shape and roles look like in his absence.

Rohit Odegaard really came alive at the end there.

He's a class act. A footballer I really admire. Neville on the commentary team actually had it right, it was only when we started keeping our approach play into the area on the deck that we started to really ruffle them.

Qwiss He is our biggest improvement from any new signing. We could cope with 2 or 3 players out but not Saliba alone on a long run. That said today he wasn't a factor, Ramsdale was.

Meanwhile on SM Holding is already getting all the hate

Qwiss We conceded 7 in 3.5 games with Saliba on the pitch during our struggles earlier when we lost to Everton and City, drew against Brentford and trailed Villa before a giant stroke of fortune. For all the talk about his passing being the enabler, we didn't score much in that period either. Nothing against Everton, a goal against Brentford and City. We scored 7 with Holding.

Personnel always is key but right now it's our lack of capability to handle the emotional challenge of a title run. It's just easy to put it on squad players.

I agree. If Gabriel was out instead and it was Saliba and Kiwior/Holding. We might not have three points from three.

Clrnc he's our best "signing" of last summer because the others are all mediocre to good and Saliba is brilliant. Still not as important as Saka or even Partey over the course of the season. And Gabriel has been the best CB in the league

Awful but something I feared seeing the last few matches. I've said before but if we fall short I'm very worried that these type of performances which we've seen before may happen a little more never season and we could easily be in the 3,4,5 fight again.

I think this could be our big chance with the league and it wasn't city that cost us but our own team and coaches as to how we dealt with this.

awooga83 no one on here has been better prepared for crushed hopes then yourself 🙂 I do think there is good evidence (even predating this season) to suggest we can surpass 70+ points next season again but given how last season ended and what's happening this April, its going to need a good stock-take in the summer.
