Mirth I think it's inherently difficult to maintain our style of play through an emotionally charged title sprint, especially with a team that skews younger. the system relies tons of synergy in every position. you can see the decision-making and composure just hasn't been there for the last few weeks. guardiola does it because he has the best possible players in every position and the depth to back it

You never know. We drew 3 games on the bounce whilst in the best form of our season winning 7 on the bounce. Let's just see what happens on Wednesday. I'm not willing to throw in the towel yet.

For a man who painstakingly tries to prove that names mean nothing, dropping his most in-form forward to accommodate the 3 'big' ones is shocking.

People are castigating Jesus and he was bad today but he came back and scored + played well.

The one that has been most off-form and continuedly played is clearly Saka.

Lacazette and Willian was fucking shite but he refused to drop them till they got injured and forced his hands.

Mirth and don't forget Saka is 21. This team lacks real leaders. Kind of heart breaking every time it cut to Vieira and Henry. People said Thierry wasn't a captain. No one now is close to his leadership, maybe Saka in time.

On paper there is still a lot to play for... But It's all copium right now though... as our defending have gone to shit and it's not just Saliba, as a whole team.. been on a downward trajectory for a while...

A lot are saying wre have bottled it and I agree somewhat but this team still has a habit of converting one bad result into a string of bad performances... Confidence & concentration/focus drops and we aren't able to switch it back on again... Personally think that has a lot to do with being a young team but it's not a good trait for the team to grow with.. we need to become a lot more resilient.. upgrading the midfield is a big part of that imo.

Rohit arteta has never been the manager that can make the adjustments to get more out of less though. it was one of my main criticisms of him before the kronekes let their chequebook fly to bin off the whole squad and bring in the players arteta wanted. it's still his big flaw as a coach and I think it's one we're going to live as long he's here. he requires all the right pieces for his approach to work, same as pep. it's worked for us until it hasn't.

This is it for me. If we can get a draw at City and win all the remaining games I'm confident it will be enough. Question is can we pick ourselves up and do that? Looking unlikely, but we're still in it.

Arteta has a good overarching vision and he can coach players, but he hasn't proven once since he's been here that he can make a positive tactical change in-game.

Lukazan Brighton, Everton, may be West Ham as they try and survive. Football is funny. City nearly blew the title on the final day last season going 2 down to an awful Villa side at home. I didn't see us drawing too Southampton at home. Nor did any City fan. Look how Southampton crumbled when we applied real pressure, they couldn't cope. We would have destroyed Southampton if we played without the nervous energy we seem to have now.
