Don Pacifico it is not, you are right. but I'm talking about him overall for the season. A bad first season

HomeSteak he's not had a great season, no question. I just think when you look at his numbers, he's shown potential, just not consistency. Given his lack of pre-season, adaptation required in a faster (and more physical) league and the fact he's pretty young, I'm prepared to cut him some slack.

In addition, I'm not convinced subbing him in for Xhaka is giving him the best chance to shine.

We've conceded 6 in the last 3 and 8 in the last 5. Our defence is shit with Holding and today our midfield is shit with Vieira. These guys are handicaps and their inadequacy affects and permeates right through the team.

People who can't see that have probably never played football in their lives. When you know there are players in the lineup who aren't good enough, it affects everyones performance. You can't make the same decisions and take the same actions because the replacements can't play at that level, so the better players, hesitate, second-guess and end up doing worse.

Imagine looking back at the season and ruing points dropped against teams in the bottom 25% of the table, Southampton twice that too, as to why we didn't win the title.

Rohit it's funny because Holding would've walked into the team we're struggling against. We maybe have one player in Vieira who wouldn't have started for Southampton today, while they have 10 who wouldn't start for us.
