That’s incredibly disappointing. You can’t be in that much control of a football game, and gift them the opening goal which gave them belief. We have to learn how to control football games when we’re in those commanding positions.
Unfortunately we’re in a title race where 8 wins from 10 (zero defeats) isn’t looking good enough form. Talk of the manager and players turning into villains is incredibly reactionary. It’s still in our hands, which every single person would’ve taken a few months ago, but we’re going to have to be perfect from here on in, and based on 80 minutes today, that feels unlikely.
Gutting, but I also had the suspicion that it would be too big an ask. Still have to keep behind this team though and remember how far it’s come in such a short period.
