goon I just object to that line of thinking that this is a 'freak' season from us.
I'm not saying it's a "freak" season. But it is going to be one of Arsenal Football Club's most consistent ever seasons. We may quite likely equal or exceed the Invincibles.
Even a modest, normal relaxation from the performance and consistency involved in a 50 point half season would see us level pegging with City currently. There is no sense in which we don't deserve our achievements, but a bit of bad luck and a few off days, an off field drama or a key player who's really not working out, and these levels won't be repeated.
So I'd say if you're sure this, what may be the club's best ever season, and is likely to be at worst our best season in a nearly two decade period that included several committed title challenges, is nailed on to repeat itself next season—as we return to the Champions League among other things—then you're kidding yourself.
We may do well again. Or, we may not. My expectation is that on average, we'll do a bit less well. Point is, we are doing well now: so don't undervalue seizing this moment.
I have seen some bloody good Arsenal sides in my lifetime, but I've only really witnessed and felt three league titles—five if you count the vaguest idea of it as a kid. Even title challenges this deep don't come round often.
