One thing that has constantly baffled me this season with regards to Arsenal fans is how reactionary a section have been after a bad result (which in isolation the Liverpool game is not). First the title was gone after the Everton loss, then the City loss, and now the Liverpool draw.
There are still eight games to go and a lot of points to play for. Admittedly, City are on a roll and seem to be hitting peak form at the right time. But we have a cushion and a sample size of 30 games to go by to see that we've been the best team in the country. We've been top of the table for 28 out of 30 gameweeks. This does not guarantee that we will win the title, but it shows that we have the consistency required to be champions.
Objectively speaking, we need to avoid defeat at City and Newcastle while doing the business elsewhere to guarantee us the title. But even despite that, everyone is assuming City will win all their games like it's a given. In the last six seasons, city have amassed 145 points cumulatively from a possible 180 points in the last 10 games of the season. There is enough evidence to suggest that they will drop some points. And in case they don't, they would have won 16 (including beating us twice), and drawn 1 game since losing to Spurs in January, to which you just take a step back and say "hats off".
TLDR; Lots of points to play for including a head to head that we are capable of winning.
