i wonder if having half the starting XI playing weird hybrid positions with overly complex individual tactics and assignments is producing the timid, cowardly football we are seeing.
its embarrassing that we wasted money on havertz, a guy who doesnt even have a normal position in the team, while neglecting striker. last summer man city realized they needed a reliable goal scoring centerforward, so instead of buying a midfielder to convert into a striker, they just signed one of the best strikers on the planet and the guy scored 2 billion goals.
taking a simple problem and devising a rube goldberg machine as your solution doesnt win you any extra credit, it just makes you look like an idiot.
