Start him and take him off at 60 if need be. Reiss is also back from injury very recently. Think between him, ESR, and Saka we'll be able to manage the 90 mins. Also can push Vieira there after 60 and bring Ø on to play in midfield.

As if Tierney has been sat on the bench for the past couple of months being available but not playing and the game we need him to play he's unavailable. Unbelievable. Play Kiwior at LB.

I think Arteta is likely to go with a stronger line up here than we might expect. It'll be a good game for Vieira to have a central role with a weight of expectation on him though, I'm hoping he lives up to his promise in this one.

HomeSteak we are out of all the other cups. This isn't a terrible strong side. Plenty rested but still enough to take care of business hopefully. I'd have played Tierney but thats the only major change. One of Saka or Ode was always going to play. Hopefully Saka gets his rest in the return leg.

I expected Saliba. Kiwior's playing style (from what I can tell) requires a more mobile CB partner than Holding to cover when he dribbles forward. Particularly relevant if Jorginho is playing too.

Also not surprised about Saka. Neither ESR nor Nelson are ready to play 90 minutes so makes more sense to have at least one of them on the bench so that our attack doesn't burn out after 60 minutes. I'm hoping we can get a couple of goals and then take Saka and Nelson off.

I know Morita is very very good, we all wishlisted Goncalves before, and Edwards tore both us and Spuds apart in recent years. Don't know much about the rest

KingslandBarge actually surprised by that too. Arteta has trusted him a lot in recent times. I guess there is one eye on the future playing Kiwior over him, better to keep him happy than Rob who's probably off in the summer anyway.

Saka and Martinelli both starting 🫣 hope we can take them off around 50mins for ESR and whoever.

Panda I think whatever physiological data they collect on the players every day tells them that Saka is a monster. His recuperation must be off the charts. Martinelli a bit less so together with Xhaka.
