Claudius Qatar, Saudi and UAE will destroy the league in future
As I understand it we're currently looking at City, Newcastle, United and potentially Spurs being petroclubs, while FSG seek cashed up noteholders for Liverpool and Chelsea are simply demented.
A mess, yes, but I'm not actually sure it'll be worse for the league than City's recent dominance from a competitive point of view.
I think these big fish might start to propose regulations on themselves about fake revenue, and that a larger number of them might hasten the flow of their money through the lesser clubs and leagues.
The real problem is the other thing: football clubs are part of the wealth of their communities, and shouldn't be owned by random monarchs to launder their money and reputations.
Right now we may technically be owned by KSE, but what feels amazingly good to everyone up and down the club is that the Emirates crowd owns this team.
