This is far from the biggest takeaway of the day, but the big chance that Ramsdale saved in the first half is a great illustration of why Vieira was correct to defend that breakaway against Aston Villa the way that he did. You just can't let the ball get to the middle in those situations. Force them to take a shot from outside the width of the goalposts and trust your keeper to make the save. Instead, today we had 2 players defending the ball and 0 players defending the center. We needed to get really lucky.
