goon Yeah, as usual, I'm only half serious (because I'm English and I use humour to try and deflect trauma, anticipated or realised) but I have to say that since I posted that, I'm completely chilled about tonight. It'll be what it'll be.

I was saying the other day that I think even if we win tonight, with so much football left to play, all we're doing is getting a little further up the mountain. If City win, the same is true for them - though I accept having our 8 point lead wiped out so brutally is likely to have psychological ramifications for us beyond this evening.

We shall see...

So in the morning there was this one guy on reddit that kept saying Partey is injured and its the same thigh problem he always has(last time he was out for 3 weeks). People told him to fuck off, but now more and more accounts are saying he was not seen with the squad. So yeah...

Yeah, okay, you've got me. It is only a game, but you and I (and everyone here) know's it so, so much more than that. 😃

I also have to caveat (massively) what I said above and tell you that I went for a blood pressure check yesterday and the nurse was so concerned by it, she repeated the check another 4 times. I've had a blood test and have to go back tomorrow - and I'm pretty sure that I have Lee Mason and that game on Saturday to thank for all of this.

@Teamnewsandtix on Twitter, who has made a name for himself as a reliable source when it comes to team news, stated on Wednesday afternoon that Partey did not arrive in Manchester with the rest of the Arsenal squad.

Hopefully, people can see the nonsense in that.

Am in RTC's camp. We will get pasted, more likely than not - whether it is because of Partey's absence, Martinelli's lack of form, Arteta's obduracy in team selection, Pep's brilliance, Haaland's cyborg imitation, etc., is a matter of detail. I suspect adrenaline got the team this far, but now that has worn off after 2 losses and a draw in 3 weeks (even if one of those was in the FA Cup), I don't see how we pull ourselves back up for this one.
