That's the team I'd go with, although Modric has had a very quiet second half, maybe go with Charlie Adam instead? I haven't seen enough of him to judge.

no way ricky mate. Modric has been the stand out midfielder this year by quite a distance, next is wilshere.

I haven't been impressed since around the time of the United game at WHL. He has been poor the few times I've seen him since then, and from reports his level seems to have dropped quite a bit - the same for most Spurs players.

Nani has had a much better season than Nasri

Great team, Tim. Agree 100%
The guys on the outside looking in are Kompany, Adam and Silva

But what about Bale, Cali?

But what about Bale, Cali?

3 games do not a season make.

Vidic
Nani.

I would have voted for Nani had he been nominated for the senior award too.

To be honest, anyone but Curious George is fine by me.

Vidic really hasn't been that amazing. Gets away with a lot of clumsy wrestling.

Team of the year will be something like:

Van der Saar

Sagna
Ferdinand
Vidic
Bale

Scholes
Gerrard
Bale

Tevez
Rooney
Bale

But seriously, can't argue with Tim's team.

Bale is one of those debatable ones, but Scholes, Gerrard and Ferdinand in the team of the year? Have we been watching the same league this season 😆

Thought it was clearly a joke mate. 😉 Should probably have had Giggs in one of Bale's positions.

Right over my head 😆

I didn't even notice Bale was there 3 times lol

Don't worry Tam. Nobody's noticed Bale since December.

the premier league desperately needs some good players. what a pathetic list for POY. just give it to scholes before he retires, no one else deserves it.

...i'm gonna go wash my mouth out with soap now.

Not true, it's just a case of the best players in this league not performing or being injured at the same time. Rooney, Fabregas, Drogba, Gerrard, Torres, Lampard and Ferdinand have all collectively hit the wall. Not to mention the lines of Malouda, Anelka, Ivanovic, Vermaelen, Arshavin, Evra have also been sub par this season.

no one in your 2nd group is a POY-type player. as for your first group, drogba, gerrard, lampard and ferdinand are all now past their primes. torres is at a good age but injuries may have taken their toll - we'll see. that leaves rooney and fabregas, who are the two best players in the league for me.
