Ornstein saying it's either Rice or Caicedo for 6 apparently, with Mount and Kudus an option for 8.

I'm torn between Rice and Caicedo, Rice would be better for us defensively and given what's happened recently, but Caicedo feels like he has the higher ceiling, especially on the ball.

goon no secret I prefer Caicedo but if we are getting Rice I really hope its for Xhakas spot and we will either sign someone like Caicedo or keep Partey playing there and get an under study because I just cannot see Rice working as the most defensive mid in this team. He'd kill our rhythm if he's played there.

Romano has been reporting that we had agreed terms with Caicdeo in January so hopefully we'll be back in for him again. Although I can't see his price as being any lower, he's having a great season.

I'd prefer Caicedo too, not that there is a massive amount in it right now but I think the most significant factor is going to be that one has a year left on his contract and the other doesn't.

They're at a similar level right now but I think Caicedo sees the game better from that deep position and moves the ball quicker. Its why I think he's more suited to us. He's also only 21 so has the potential to explode into one of the worlds best defensive mids. I don't think Rice has as much potential and will probably never be at that level.

Caicedo is more Coquelin whilst Rice is more pre goal obsessed Ramsey.

Rice plays well deep too. He had a cracking World Cup playing that way.

I don’t see much scope for Caicedo to improve. He’s pretty much at his peak for stamina, which a large part of his game relies upon. Ugarte looks a much better option for a defensive mid

Hmm don’t like the sound of that - get top quality in the midfield.

Agree we need better depth for centreback but that could come via getting a good right back in and moving White central if and when needed

Clear the way and raise fund for new recruits.

The cull should include Jorginho, Tavares, Pepe, one from Nketiah and Balogun, Smith Rowe, Holding, Mari, Maitland-Niles, maybe Xhaka and I’m sure there are one or two others
