Whatever one's beliefs of the merits of the Mudryk pursuit was, it should reasonably adjust their prior beliefs about Arsenal's transfer budget in an upward direction.

Qwiss I agree with you to an extent. But at the same time, we've racked up quite significant transfer investments whilst we've not been in the CL and at some point we'll need to pay off those debts. I don't think this requires a complete halt to our spending as if we're consistently in the CL for a while, we'll accumulate significant sums of money but I do think it is something to be mindful of.

Don Pacifico I don't see why we need to be too mindful of it. We've been within FFP AFAIK and now we'll have the CL revenue on top. Can't expect to compete without spending big these days.
I get that we're adhering to FFP but it doesn't mean our debt hasn't increased in that time (unless I've drastically misunderstood the finances of the last few years). We've been spending CL money whilst generating EL level revenue.

lorddulaarsenal Yes, but he said we are looking at Rice OR Caicedo for the number 6 role and Kudus for the number 8 role. I for one do not want Kudus here, at 22 he has managed to have a huge injury record. Has played 3 seasons and missed around 20 games per year with injuries. Add the AFCON obligations. I don't want players like that close to this club, ever again.
