KingslandBarge we were about to throw 70m at mudrick.
flobaba True and I was surprised at the time, but was eventually sold given his pace. Looks like the list now leads with 2 CMs, a number 9 option and a fullback thrown somewhere in there? Just getting in 2 midfielders feels taxing enough on the bill.
Raphina is damaged goods at this point.
I watched him for Barca the other day and his decision making/execution was horrendous. Shades of Pepe in that the raw talent is there but he never looked like he understood how to positively impact the game.
samthegooner I think he's more like Sane. Similar close control dribbling style, great shot technique and a very good ball carrier. He also works very hard without the ball but has big room for improvement tactically.
Olise looks like a player who’s ready to take things to the next level. He actually works hard, but I get that his body language makes him appear to lack urgency.
His close control is excellent. Mahrez level
I'll happily be wrong on Olise- I had him on my shortlist going into the year so it might just be overexposure having watched a bunch of Palace games this year. He certainly has the talent and could just need a move to a top club to take it up another level. His performance last weekend against Leeds was incredibly impressive.
Talk that we’ll be back in for Vlahovic this summer. He’d be a great alternative to Jesus. Would probably make a good partnership too
lorddulaarsenal No chance. Even Palace look ten times better without him.
samthegooner My concern is that he is very inconsistent and some of that looks like its related to his effort and intensity levels. He definitely has the same type of body language as Ozil where he looks disinterested half the time and it's always tough to tell if that's something to read too much into or not.
Word is that despite his talent he's not easy to coach. Same story everywhere he's went apparently. Has a bad rep from his time with us as a youth too. Can't see Arteta going for him.
Yeah the attitude concerns make me think that Arteta isn't really seriously looking at him. He's a serious talent but I think there are a few others that are just as talented without the headaches. I still would love to see Diaby here.
Diaby would be great. He’s electric and has that agility that makes it easy for him to take defenders out of the game
Rice Vlahovic Tapsoba Mazraoui
Takes us to the next level
ooh like the look of Mazraoui.. has played in midfield as well.
Give me him and
Caicedo Rafael Leão Angelo Gabriel Giannis Konstantelias
Need to be ruthless this window and make moves so that guys like Elneny, Holding, and Vieira are nowhere near the first team
Rice Caicedo/Lavia Diaby Bastoni
Out- Balogun/Nketiah (One of them will go for sure), ESR (Sadly needed for funds), Lokonga (Not upto mark), Vieira (Not upto mark), Cedric, Mari, Pepe, Holding,
Gunner89 Funnily enough watching last night I was thinking if Brighton proves to be idiots for Caicedo valuation, save the cash and get Lavia, use the remaining to get a forward.
Gunner89 Tavares can be liquified too
Lavia looks the better player to me
City got any sort of buy back clause with Lavia?
James 40m.
Apparently so. Can’t see them triggering it though, but for a playing perspective anyway, but maybe to sell on for profit if that’s possible.
There’s several alternatives to Caicedo who I feel are just as good if not better. Musah an example
