I definitely wouldn't sell Jesus so quickly. He's the Tomiyasu of the forward line. Brought in as a starter and excelled immediately, but was usurped by someone more reliable. Now he plugs gap across the front line and does a good job at it. He played on the right against City at the Emirates and on the left at the Etihad, and was one of our best performers on both occasions.
People want us to sign a versatile forward who can play across the front line, and want to give up on a player who offers just that. My biggest worry when we signed him was that he performed that role at City to great effect, and that he wouldn't be able to handle playing centrally every game, every week. Depending on how his surgery goes, having him return to a utility role might be exactly what's needed to keep him healthy and alleviate the burden of him needed to score a lot of goals.
