goon I would go as far as to say he's one of our most creative outlet. No use putting an extra attacker on if we need to attack, rather have him passing through the lines

the way the team is set up, jorginho can focus on what he does best, tempo setting and picking teams apart. the combination of our high press and the threat of our forwards means the tone of the match suits jorgi down to a tee. he doesn't have to chase down counter attacks, and teams are reticent to jump him with a press because they're scared of the consequences. these were always the 2 areas he could get exposed but we're controlling those aspects of the match and he's thriving as a result

I keep thinking this guy can have a Pirlo at Juve-like renaissance here. Put all the legs and running power around him, and just let him dictate the play and the game. He could be massive in the CL for us.

Data shows this guy is our highest value passer. And we have seen in the maw recent games just how much he can unlock defenses. That Ben White goal yesterday was probably my favorite. The way Jorginho looped the ball 40 yards, Harvetz controlled it beautifully, and then passed it with the outside of his foot, and White smashed it. All 3 men were quality, but it’s really posssible because of Jorginho’s vision and execution

Claudius The Havertz goal from the other day, from the Martinelli cut back. That was from a Jorghino over the top ball as well, beautiful. Shame he cannot move that well and play that much. I would let him rest on the weekend and play him vs Porto.

HomeSteak wonder if Partey is ready to play a full half yet. Be great to start Jorge for 45 and then switch them. Really don't want to see Jorge rested if it means Havertz back into midfield.

Qwiss Partey’s like a Freightliner. Will take a while to get going. He was awful yesterday. Looked so tentative, unwilling to take on players, and unable to progress the ball. And gave it away cheaply. This is a naturally adventurous player, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s several weeks away based on what we saw.

I hope you are right as dont see many players around that can come in a do what he does straight away.. it asks a lot more of Rice than if partnered with a more mobile DM but that is kind of Rice's thing. Still need an understudy who will need to make a significant contribution next season if Partey is sold.. maybe that's Lokonga

Just realised Jorg is just 32. For some reason thought he was 35. Definitely could continue to play for us in the next few years.

Also he is Brazilian but has never played for any Brazilian club. His first youth team was already in Italy.

Clrnc if you want to like him even more, watch this interview he did with his mother. I think it might have been around the last euros. They chat about growing up, and how she recognised his talent, sent him to the beach to train. Just wonderful.
