I thought we were done getting players from Chelsea after Willian. Partey's vertical passing and the quickness with which he moves the ball is invaluable but his defensive contribution can't be understated. We went from boring boring Arteta to one of the most impressive attacking teams in Europe not due to some major tactical shift but purely with a change in intent and the number of bodies we started throwing forward. Partey protecting two very imposing athletic center backs allows this to work. Please no Jorginho. He may substitute Partey's ball movement but we will become way more porous. Also, I don't think I could bare watching him take a penalty for us. It is anyways so tense, by the time he stutters in and kicks the ball my heart will be out of my mouth.
