Not a great half there and you wouldn't be looking at that and thinking we are going to come away with the win. But that's what the teams that tend to win the league can do make a bad day still come with a result. Need a different approach for the second half and sometimes we've struggled to change the approach when we hit these barriers

Not a great half, but in mitigation, the pitch is awful, Everton were always gonna be up for this today, Dyche knows how to frustrate and I think the moments Everton have had are the typical moments you get with a new manager bounce.

Arsenal need to find a way to move the ball quicker and Martinelli needs to try and stop dribbling into cul de sacs.

Haven't been able to play through their press. Hoping the intensity of that drops a little. Pitch looks a fucking travesty, but our passing has been very sloppy.

Partey and Saka are absolutely amazing. Rest of the players need to up their game. Xhaka and Zincheko costing us massively with poor touches in vital moments.

Hopefully we're going to up our game in the second half. They're not going to miss more chances like we gave them this half. If we allow them to score first, it's going to be a long half.

Tactics

New manager bounce is real

Very good tactics from Everton. They are alternating between a high press and dropping back to form a solid block. They have been very effective in forcing us out wide and as soon as the ball is in wide areas, they had had players double marking our wide players.

Very sloppy half from us. Looks like we thought all we needed to do was show up and Everton would roll over for us. Need to up the tempo and get sharper in the duels.

Is it me or White has had consistently poor moments in alot of matches post world cup compared to prior?

I remember Don mentioning that he is always the first to get hooked for Tomi but it's really kinda been a recurring issue now. Tomi is definitely knocking on the door
