Gurgen I don't think you can compare the prices that Madrid paid for those two to any of our midfield targets. In addition to contract situations (believe one if not both of them had only a year or so left on their deals), Real is always in the unique position of being the dream club for many of these kids and can drive lower prices in negotiations with clubs with the confidence that the player will push to join only them or just wait until their contract is up and join on a free.
I don't have any issue going up to 80/85m for a 21 year old who has almost 12 months of top level EPL performances dominating midfields under his belt - hope we can bring him to the carpet. Arteta/Edu need to get aggressive with their pitch against Chelsea to show how our project has a clearly defined role for Caicedo since we know from the Mudryk negotiations that Chelsea is going to make the case that the path to playing time is easier there than here.
