I think we’ll get both. Seems that Arteta yearns for that insane ball recovery ability so we can smoother and suffocate teams.

If we sign both it means we’ve 80 percent had a terrific fucking window already. Think it’s wishful thinking we get both though. Also, still burnt by Mudryk, sorry to be boring but until it’s on Arsenal website with them displaying a pen and contract in their hand I still have my doubts!

I hope they don’t become summer long sagas either, really can’t be bothered with that. Be aggressive, don’t wait till august 31st to save £2m on the deal and if we can’t get them move on to the next target immediately. Edu has a lot to prove.

Would be shocked if we got both, would mean Arteta is thinking of a different set up. Also would give us massive potential to rotate and tweak our team for different teams. We would need to retain at least one of our senior CMs though, with current rumours guessing that would be Partey.

JazzG I dont think it means a change of set up really. Rice can play xhakas role and Caicedo Parteys. Plus you keep Partey and you have cover all over midfield as well as having Partey and Caicedo as options at RB. It gives us very strong depth in areas we need it as well as upgrading the first team. It's the sort of big move we need to push on and keep challenging while balancing PL football. Can't stagnate or we'll fall away and let others past us. Arteta won't settle for that.

I wouldn't. The idea that we are only after one has never really made sense to me. If Rice is our number one target, why did we go for Caicedo in January? I think Partey at RB indicates Arteta's thinking. Rice and Caicedo should enable White to be used at CB more often

When we went in for Caicedo it was reported by Ornstein at the time that it wouldn't impact our pursuit of Rice who was going to be our main summer target.

The main naysayer to the idea that we'll go for both has funnily enough also been Ornstein, but seems like it's just his POV because he thinks they're expensive, rather than any info he has.
