KingslandBarge I would have been annoyed if the club scrambled for a sale well below-par or looked for some termination of contract.

Prepare yourself for future disappointment because I've yet to see senior player who's been frozen out and sent on loan work out like this. Didn't happen with Bellerin, Torreira, Pepe, etc and I don't expect it'll happen with Tierney either.

weve been a poor selling club for the last 20+ years. i can count on one hand the number of times we've sold a player and ive thought "damn, yeah that is great business for us"

it seems to be completely deprioritized at the club. maybe edu doesnt like dealing with that part of the business (he kind of admitted as much in the documentary, didnt he?) but if that is the case, we need someone else to handle that part of the transfer business, because its kind of embarrassing.

disappointed there was no market for KT. I suppose protecting his value so we can sell him next season is passable from a strategic standpoint. hopefully he stays fit over there

Balogun deal is probably best we are gonna get, we could probably sell him to a rival for more here but would rather he goes abroad for cheaper.

Mirth Yeah, when Tierney turned out for us a few times in the back half of last season, he often looked unconfident inverting under Arteta's instruction. Arteta and Edu have been creating a template for building a squad to challenge in this league, and it's clear Tierney's not in it.

You think we should be able to sell him for, what, £50m now? But a sell-on clause of 20% is not enough because after developing at Monaco you're saying he'd still only be worth £50m?

I see it as we were smart enough to pick a loan that has generated £35m for a youth product who has never really featured for the first team, and if he develops into a good player, there's good chance we get another £10-15m from him. Who knows, with the way the Saudi money is flooding in, it's not unrealistic to think that even decent to good strikers could go for £100m+ in the near future.

Ricky1985 Doesn't really work that way does it? I said above the fee was acceptable, if the clauses inserted is highly to our favour. I'm hoping for more than 20%
