Gazza M Not a bad opening offer. Its 10 million euros higher than their final bid for Lukaku before they walked away but this still needs to be some way higher. 50 million euros+ would personally start to put my mind at ease with the opportunity cost of losing a player that could one day be a top 10-12 forward in Europe.

Qwiss Wasn't it a struggle to get Balogun to renew his contract a couple of years back? It could just be that he's more impatient that most. It's a shame really because if he is as good as he thinks then he had a relatively easy path to the first 11 compared to most other positions in the squad.

You see Rice and Bellingham keeping their mouths shut and letting their selling clubs negotiate a deal that will set West Ham and Dortmund up for the next couple of seasons. Meanwhile van Persie was off writing letters and Fabregas - well, he was worse than anyone - let Barcelona walk all over us. Imagine if we could have had a bidding war for Cesc Fabregas - that's £60m easy back then.

Henry was painful too but it felt more like that was done with Wenger's blessing and Henry was clearly on the decline albeit still very good.

100% this. It was never that they left, it was how they left that was the problem.

Morata is such a strange player man. Always pops up at a different team, plays like shit, and of course...moves on to another team to do it all over again

€50m was never realistic but I hope we are looking for more than the price that Morata is going for. I mean if you said to me you can with Balogun up front for the season or get Morata I'm taking Flo every time.
