Qwiss Makes sense. I don't think we are in a position where we have to sell any talents either; the team must be more profitatable right now than at any other point in our club history, we're expected to win the league and go very deep in the remaining cups, etc.

We do seem to need better loan progression for guys like these though, and maybe that's something we're in the process of arranging. It feels like a common critique that has been aimed against Per's tenure at the academy.

Klaus as @daredevil said a loan would be good for him now. I'd loan him and Ethan again next year. A full year somewhere they are guaranteed plenty of game time. Both are good enough to play midtable in any of the top leagues already.

I think a loan makes tons of sense because he's clearly behind Calafiori. They're more similar in how they play, and he's competing more with him than Hincapie.

A loan gives MLS a year to get his form back, and adjust to his body (still young!) and the game's physical requirements. It also gives the club a year to figure out if Calafiori can stay healthy - if he can't it may be worth incorporating MLS back in, even at the sake of Calafiori.

The thing is, i don't see him as a long term LB unless he gets the lapses and casual play out of his system. I am not really sure where his best position is TBH. He's a bit like AMN, can do a job in multiple positions, but can't really make any his own. Granted, he's still very young, but at 19, you should probably have some idea as to where your position should be. I agree i think a loan spell would be good for him, and maybe he can solidify where he should be playing. He just wont get enough regular game time here to nail something down.

Especially the bolded parts don't track for me. Why would Arsenal baggage be a negative whether we won the league or not?

Qwiss nah he’s done his job as Saka back up this season. He can be relied upon more than some of those losers. Plus he has upside, the rest are done mentally/physically

Sicario2 he's been way worse than Martinelli and Trossard and has Saka and Max ahead of him now. Guys a complete dud. He has no upside, he's 24 and he's not going to change.

He's passable as a backup but he's not going to threaten anyone for a first team spot. If we can bin him for a similar fee to what we paid - Berta should be lauded.

I think we're going to be disappointed that we will probably only see 2 or 3 players leave at the most. I expect Jesus to be gone, White could leave (especially if we sign another RB), and perhaps MLS. MAYBE trossard. I expect Martinelli to stay.

I don’t have major issues with Martinelli sticking around. If for example Saka was to get injured next season, I would rather Martinelli at RWF than Madueke.

Dowman should get more minutes at RWF next season regardless, but you can’t expect him (in particular his body) to withstand a full season yet.

Just reading some transfer stuff about Brentford and it said Reiss Nelson will return to us in June and apparently he still has another year on his contract. Blimey.

Can't see us getting any fee for him - maybe a loan to Ipswich or somewhere then off on a free.

If we got any fee, it would be nominal... Just release the guy and let him try to find a new team on his own. Im sure someone will take the punt for someone that can actually play in the Prem, but just not for a top side.

Each one of those players has played an important role this season. Getting rid of 6 of them makes no sense. Does Berta have time to be managing 12 transfer deals this summer right after winning a title?

We now also have another guy saying we should consider dumping Arteta before we even get to the premier league parade next week.

We were always trending towards the good reality. Folks over-indexed a few big losses and went into crisis mode. Will happen next season. As soon as we lose one game, we will have a meltdown about coaching and player trading.

Claudius if by folks you're including yourself, then sure. You had us at "the league is pretty much done" at one point to then go "it's about 50/50" before City started losing points at the end again.

But hey, I don't blame you. I think the objective chances of us winning the league did decrease quite a lot from when we were overwhelming favorites at some point during the season.
