If we want a marquee attacker and Felix for e.g. ESR could potentially be surplus to demand.

Clrnc I'm not sure we necessarily do want a marquee player. Think we might sign one of there's one available at the right price but not convinced it's a mandatory for us.

I'd try to keep Balogun as well as ESR. Even if it meant sending him on loan for another season. There is real potential in that lad as he's show in France and he's still only 21.

Can't see it happening - certainly not now. We don't have that marquee attacker yet anyway so selling him now would set our squad back again for the title run in. Plus Arteta clearly liked him last season when he was fit.

Been thinking for a season we'd end up being ruthless with one of these lads. If it's gotta be one of Saka, Martinelli and Smith Rowe it's ESR every time. He could go on to be one of the best players in England, so £50m isn't unreasonable.

Fair play to that account. If I wanted write some believable rumour mill fiction, I'd probably hone in on Smith-Rowe. First few posts (including myself) split into various degrees of belief.

Why is it that we manage half a season of good football and already people want to tear it apart?

Martinelli is one of the most productive and dangerous forwards in the league. It would be nothing short of insanity to sell him. This kid is possibly going to hit a point when all the pieces come together and he goes into orbit.

ESR is the worry, only because of injury. We have the depth to let him heal properly, but if he doesn’t get fit reliably we should sell. Every player counts in our set up. This isn’t Wenger’s beach hotel
