Pepe LeFrits Yeah. I only noticed him at WC which he played 3 matches at CB and 1 match at LB, but looking his stats up he played plenty at CM in Serie A. Interesting indeed

Actually think by the summer it will more likely look like this:
White - Saliba - Gabriel - Zinchenko Fresneda - Holding - Kiwior - Tomi
Holding is a part of the leadership group and is likely to be happy enough being 4th choice centre back. Tierney on the other hand is already arguably behind Tomi in the pecking order for LB and is too valuable to keep around for that sort of role.

If Tierney does leave, I think we'll use Tomi / Kiwior as LB cover. Don't see us signing another defender in the summer now.

I don't disagree, but in most instances a 4th choice centre back is unlikely to be needed except for half a dozen games a season in the early stages of cups.
goon Yep, he's about as good as any other 4th choice CB which is all you can ask for.
Its not just the number of games though. Its the importance and quality of opposition and we saw that at WHL last season. 2 CBs injured at the same time and we're playing Holding in thr EL final.
I am Arsenal Till I Die you can always adjust and play Tomi or White at CB if the opposition demands it. But you don't want these guys playing Oxford away if it can be helped or in a League Cup game you're secretly hoping to lose.

Versatility really is the name of the game when it comes to squad building for us these days.
Love this kind of signing - admittedly had never heard of him until 5 minutes ago but the profile is exactly what we need to be thinking about if we don't want to get caught in bidding wars over more established players who aren't incrementally worth the hike in price.

Segway Yep this looks like it might lead to Gabriel/Kiwior, Saliba/White/Tomiyasu as our CB options heading into the Champions League. Looks good. Holding may even sell fairly well, he's got two more years and his wages aren't extreme.
Be amazing if he actually can play midfield, but my guess is he'll just be the Arsenal, cultured on the ball centre half type we go for now. He's 6'3" in height or so.
