banduan I didn't actually know until Gurgen pointed out he's played under Stuivenberg, so I guess he'd probably have a decent idea of his character.
He's defo been bought in as a stop gap solution and you won't get much better for this kind of money. We all wanted someone like Mudryk who had great potential but would rather we wait until the summer and reassess things then. No point spending £70m+ now on someone who we aren't fully convinced about.
This guy has PL experience, is a very good player will do a job for us now and probably not be on a massive salary either. If it doesn't work out then you don't feel so bad about writing it off and moving on.
