He is the right profile, good age and can cover both Xhaka and Partey. Plus he's never injured. I'm not keen on how much of a moaner he is but I too found it odd when he was singing our praises when we beat them. That kind of made me see him in a better light. 😆

We need the winger version that can cover both Martinelli and Saka too and we'll be set.

At similar prices I will always prefer a run at Bellingham although, admittedly, that would be harder.

I think a lot of Rice’s value comes from the notion that Chelsea are interested and they have always exhibited an irrational exuberance with transfer fees

We used to chuckle about smokescreens but increasingly, I do wonder whether it's part of out current approach. There's been a few players we've been heavily linked with that we've not ended up going for (Tielemans as the most obvious example that comes to mind) before signing someone else.
