£100m seems ridiculous to me, but what price do people think is reasonable to go to?
I refuse to believe Declan Rice is the only player who can improve our first team, and that we need to pay around £100m to do it. I'm not clued in enough to football outside of Arsenal to know who the best alternatives are, but if Arteta's and Edu's reign has shown us anything, it's that the alternative is usually a better than expected option.
West Ham pointing to Bellingham and saying that's also their price is nonsense. It's absolutely West Ham's prerogative to get what they can but I wouldn't hold it against the club if they told West Ham they're being ridiculous and walked away. Let them hang a £100m demand out for a player who wants to leave and see how many bites they get. I wouldn't fear other clubs more if Rice went to a rival.
