Would have been funny if he'd said something like, "thanks very much for the trophy, I'm off now", but perhaps not very realistic to expect it. It does put him in an interesting position coming to Arsenal where, despite our last FA Cup win only being three years ago, the majority of that team has been moved on, or is in the process of going (by the end of this summer, Eddie Nketiah may be the only man who got on the pitch still at the club). Which is kinda wild when you think about it.
I know it's "only" the Conference League, it's still; a) a trophy; b) it's one more European trophy than we've managed since 1994.
