I don’t think so, they played an entirely second XI.
These domestic cups aren’t worth the squeeze. We don’t have the squad depth to play on 3 or 4 fronts, so we should be playing an entirely second XI or academy players.
With the extended CL format, the lack of winter break and increased Internationals, it makes even less sense now to commit key players to it.
