Sicario2 this tweet... Having just been in the city and lived there previously, I think he's probably right. Obviously, Athletic are going to render it a moot point by beating United and then (please God) Spurs, but Bilbao is not that big a city, not like Barcelona or London for example and even just getting home yesterday, the airport was full of ruined Rangers fans. Including those who were flying back to London to fly onto Scotland. I can't imagine how the airport copes with 60,000 Mancs and Spuds trying to get home afterwards.
On the plus side, there is a great street for drinks/ socialising running right up to the stadium and it really is a sumptuous venue. If Athletic make the final, the atmosphere will be off the scale.
