That trio looks far better than they did last summer when we were tracking Danilo. At that point Xhaka was being extended instead of sold against half of our wishes, Partey's legal troubles were more ominous, Ødegaard's form less supreme, and a return to Champions League football wasn't guaranteed.

In summer we needed cover. Now we still need cover but the cover will never play a serious match unless he's world class or someone's injured.
