Coombs definitely the smart move. Too many managers go straight for the giant jobs. He's 42, has years ahead of him if thats what he wants. The more he does at Leverkusen the more he'll have value even if he flops at Real, Bayern or Liverpool too. And don't discount that the likes of Alonso, Xavi and Arteta are already very rich men too, they don't need to jump at the money the way guys who weren't top players might be tempted too.
