CPM Same thing can happen with fortunate leg motion, but it'd probably feel less weird. For all the practical reasons mentioned about officiating at the lower grades I think the "daylight" part is important.

"Daylight between feet" is probably still easier to adjudicate than the current system. As far as the top flight's concerned automation would be great. The sooner they automate offside rulings to the point we don't wait on VAR or the cunts at PGMO the better. Bring on replacing Howard Webb with a £100 gadget with greater wit and charm that looks less like an ambulatory bellend.

Using feet as the reference point seems like an obvious solution for me.

CPM In a perfect world, I think it makes sense. Not certain it can be done without automation, though.

Coombs I don't think any of them work perfectly at lower levels. Your Sunday league lino isn't calling shoulder vs knee now, its more a general area thing.

I'm not really sure we should be adapting the game because of the technology tbh. People will moan with daylight too as it'll be called to the nearest milometer on VAR.

My youth team are playing with off sides for the first time this year and its lead to better passing and attacking play due to everyone pushing up. I don't think this rule will make for better football at all.

Qwiss I can see two outcomes. One is that it gets worse, and the other is that teams will commit players forward since attackers get more of an advantage. I'm happy to see it tried out in a league I couldn't care less about.

I've always thought it should just be simply feet. If any part of an attackers foot is ahead of the defender's it's an offside. Above the ankle, arms, upper body, eyelashes etc don't matter.

Oooh, another rule ive recently come to really dislike is the double jeopardy of dogso. Whenever a penalty is awarded it should not also carry the potential for a plus red card. The punishment to the offending team far outweighs the crime at that point. Award a penalty and be done with it.

-- they've removed the double jeopardy for the most part. Before, dogso was always a pen and a red card while now it's only a red card if the foul was not an attempt to win the ball.

All professional fouls other than deliberate handballs should be yellow cards, never red, including dogso. Or define dogso properly, but they can't.
