Morocco, Spain and Portugal isn't a big deal, all relatively local and gives a country like Morocco a chance to actually host.

South America seems pointless and a logistical and environmental nightmare though. If you want to celebrate 100 years by having it there why not just award it to some South American countries in the first place.

    Relatively speaking, they're all close but if you're a fan, that's still quite a lot of travelling.

      I mean it's a much, much smaller area than USA or Brazil who've hosted/will host without anyone complaining too about travel.

        Smaller area than some of the travel for the recent women's World Cup too (eg, Perth to any of the other host cities in Australia or NZ).
