Joan Garcia at Barcelona might be one we missed out on. He was amazing today against Espanyol.

Yeah he is a phenomenal keeper but Raya has been great for us this season. Garcia possibly has potential to eventually reach a higher level.

The time to sign him wasn't 2025 but 2024, by the summer every club knew about him and with his reasonable clause it was going to be hard to convince him to come and be Raya's understudy.

Raya is bloody good though, Arteta was just being greedy wanting Garcia as well 😆 Shows our scouts know what they are doing though.

On the downside, we signed one striker we're not that impressed with, but on the upside, we didn't sign all the other strikers many fans desperately wanted that absolutely no one's impressed with.

Non league Macclesfield (managed by Rooney’s younger brother) just beat Palace in the FA Cup. Pitch invasion and captain with a bandaged head being held aloft by the fans. Amazing.

I love the FA Cup for results like that.

Also just realised during the interview that boy that died in the car crash last month was a Macclesfield player. Bittersweet win for them. Manager said he didn’t know whether to pass on the message he received from the father to the squad ahead of the game. Fair play to them going and beating Palace having dealt with that in recent weeks.

WTF. Everton/Sunderland into penalties, and Roefs has saved literally the first 3 pens. My God, those were horrible pens from Everton. Sunderland score their first 3 and goes through (deservedly, Everton were given a dubious pen to let them back into the game)

Obviously they should have had enough without him, but it's much easier to make it safe in the first half than have to bring the best players on to try and rescue it in the last 25 minutes.
