Burnwinter Good comparison actually, are in a way cursed and blessed at the same time. Blessed in that they can push themselves to the absolute physical and mental limits. I don't think people realise mentally they are on a level you can't even comprehend, singular focus and they are completely self centred and obsessed with reaching their goals. Cursed because that laser focus and obsession is what they need to have the success but will ruin their social and personal lives. Wenger talked about this once a few years back, how his obsession with football he neglected his wife and daughter. I might be making this up but I'm sure he even spoke about how he regrets not having more children.
C.Ronaldo was noway near as talented as Messi and that drove him to push himself to a level which I think many could not have envisioned him reaching. He looked a good player when he first broke through but nobody thought he would be talked of among the all time greats. To do what he is at 39 is a testament to how seriously he takes his his fitness and nutrition. Look at Rooney, same age and looks about 20 years older!
I do wonder what he will do after football, wasn't Jordan really into Golf? When he can no longer play football stuff like that can really mess with peoples head, probably don't know what to do with their lives!
