What are people's thoughts on the links to Morgan Gibbs-White? I've always liked watching him and he's been one of the few bright spots on that Forest team the last two years. A year or two ago, I would've loved to see him here but now I feel like we have likely outgrown him.

lorddulaarsenal Pepe LeFrits Agree with both of these points. I've always been impressed with him when I've watched Forest. His drive with the ball is very powerful so a more robust ESR is a great call. I think I'd only want to bring him in if we were shifting ESR though (and for the right price).

Yeah fair enough; almost everything comes with risk given the scarcity of forwards out there. Many people said Gyokeres was pretty amazing for Coventry and carried them to the playoff spot, but chose Sporting over PL teams.

I think if Gyokeres lives up to the potential, he's just peaking later like Vardy and Drogba. I get why Arteta would covet him, the guy has high work rate, athletic, can play anywhere in the final 3rd, and can finish.

To me, this is truly my 2024 summer wishlist. Come out of the summer with this squad and we are title favorites.

Add: Nico Williams, Amadou Onana, Douglas Luiz and Ousmane Diomande.

Sell: ESR, Ramsdale, Nketiah, Nelson, Partey (if possible)

Williams to add more pace and directness on the wings as rotation (need to rotate Saka and Martinelli more next season) and for injury depth as he can play both wings and has the potential to even push Martinelli for first team minutes. Onana to add EPL experience and duel winning ability in the middle of the pitch (I've become obsessed with a midfield including both Rice and Onana for the long limbs and sheer fear factor those brutes would inflict). Douglas Luiz to add a well rounded midfielder that can play all three of the CM roles and also add goals from the midfield. And Diomande to be our much needed Saliba backup and rotation with both Saliba and Gabriel.

For me the piorities is a winger and a striker. I will keep Partey and Jorginho for one more season, splash all our kitty on those 2 players.

If we can keep those 2 fit and playing for 2/3rds of the season each.. would be better than anything we can bring in... Likelihood of that happening isn't great though..

Clrnc I like the idea of hanging onto Partey and Jorginho if you're only hoping that they can combine to cover the backup #6 role. That means Rice is the starting #6, and you need a starting #8/LCM. Havertz can provide cover but it's not his best position. And in any case we need another 8 besides Ødegaard who can pass through the lines and create chances.

Partey/Jorginho, Rice, new CM, Ødegaard, Havertz – with a good new signing, that's pretty good quality, depth, versatility in midfield.

Vieira, ESR, Elneny are emergency cover or on their way out.

Clrnc no to Partey. We can’t plan another season with a 30% available £200,000 midfielder. Get Zubimendi in. Get a forward.

We will bring in a forward to replace Nketiah, and I actually think it's more likely to be a winger than a striker. For one, I think there are more quality wingers to target than strikers. But also we've spent a lot on Havertz and his best position is CF. And while Jesus and Trossard can play across the front line, they both look better at CF for me. They're not physically robust to really handle playing out wide for us. We need a third winger in addition to Saka and Martinelli, ideally one who can break down settled defenses and score goals.

And I would rather get fewer top players than more very good players. We need more difference makers. I would love a backup GK, Paqueta, Rodrygo window.

Claudius I know. But priorities. We can definitely survive another season with Partey. Or even bringing back Lokonga. Doesn't move the needle.

A top striker and winger is game changer for us. Isak, Gyokeres or even Toney will bring our strike force up another level, a top winger will give us flexibility like City or Pool to rotate Saka and Martinelli.

Claudius Yes. Move Partey on for whatever price we can get in summer. Though it would be no surprise if he were injured again by then.

We're paying him £500,000 per appearance this season. Very good footballer of a rare type, but he's brittle, will be wanting a final payday, not much of a leader on the pitch nor a mentor off it, and is a poor character and credibly accused rapist.
