The more I watch of Douglas Luiz compared to others like Zubimendi and Onana, I keep coming away thinking hes the far superior midfielder. I think he would be the perfect CM signing for us this summer, even at a fee close to 60m. He's premier league proven, can play a more defensive oriented role but also can get box-to-box and score goals when asked, has a great final ball and can also take set pieces when needed, has ball striking from the midfield that we need when we pin teams in (this is something City has that I want us to start injecting into the squad - ball striking prowess across the field) and also looks like he can mix it up when asked.
I just haven't been impressed with Zubimendi much- but I also wasn't too impressed with Jorginho before he came over so a deep lying playmaker may be my blind spot admittedly. And Onana impresses me but I also am a little dubious of him being able to raise his technical level to fit in with our squad.
