Wonder if Partey little stint at right back is going to alter Artetas plans. Thought he was decent there although clearly still needs time to get comfortable with the role. Might be the different option needed when Zinchenko is out / off form.

Dont think he’s a good long term option.

Even yesterday he was missing some headers and got out paced a few times by their winger.

Not sure he has the physicality or legs to play there esp as he is so injury prone.

Caicedo a much better younger and fitter option to play that role.

goon I actually think we should keep Jorginho for another year. Xhaka looks like he will move on and the problem with Partey is his fitness. Also his drop off in recent weeks has me thinking we need to get a long term option there. Then there is also the legal issues which we will have more clarity on in July.

It is a risk but you counter that if you bring in players settled into this league.

I'd honestly be pretty happy with that... Rice and Caicedo are top quality but also offer so much flexibility. Which is huge if we are going to have a squad to compete on multiple fronts.

Even with RN.. Reckon we really need another top class fwd who can ideally play in 2 positions .. we need to be able to rotate / allow for injuries without seeing a noticeable drop in quality in our front line
