lorddulaarsenal Think striker is a priority. Gives us a plan B. We have to go for this.

RB - White is solid for 80% of the time but we need more. There's no hope that Arteta will bring in a proper fullback given he is selling Tierney but I think Cancelo will solve a lot of our problems. Can play on both flanks and allows White to go back to CB too.

CM - I think we should go for one established player and one young player from one of the relegated teams on a cheap to free up funds elsewhere. Rice + McKennie/Adams/Roca/Tielemans/Lavia/Onana/Ndidi/Tielemans. Plenty of options.

Winger - None of our winger options other than Martinelli and Saka can be direct and beat their man. We need one more top option here especially if Nelson leaves. Mitoma will be fantastic.

Striker - Get rid of Nketiah, convince Balogun to stay or get Vlahovic/Ferguson. Osimhen is the dream but seems out of our range

Don Pacifico

Vlahovic been linked to both Chelsea (!) and United. Would imagine given everything going on with Juve that there's a good chance he'll move this summer.

Still would @Don Pacifico, at the right price though, he looks about a £60m player on this season's (unreliable) evidence so we may be out of the race. It could be good to have a big egotistical lunk up front as an option, Vlahovic is 1.9m and likes to throw himself around a bit at dead ball situations. Not terrible on the ball either.

Clrnc Transfer news is suggesting Chelsea already put in a £70m bid which, honestly, is bloody high for a player who seems less than keen to leave Italy.

On the other hand he'd probably much rather come to Arsenal, given our long term interest in him and our better current standing and leadership.

Time to get James Maddison on a cheap. Just last summer we wanted him for about 70m. Should have half of that now once they are relegated.

Not a bad shout. Would probably have to adjust his game a bit to fit in the 8 role but would add a lot to our attacking game... Seen it mentioned that we need to change tactics as our attack is too predictable at times.. Having the option to replace Xhaka with someone like Maddison would make a massive difference without having to change much else... Its whether we can get the balance right...

If Rice is going to cost well over 100m+ as being quoted, starting to think splashing over half our budget on him might not be the best idea...

Caicedo, Neves, Maddison, Zaha (or someone better if we still have budget remaining)

Maddison if Leicester are relegated - We'd be stupid not to. Need an alternative to Ode when he's off it.

yep, maddison for squad depth would be handy.

failing that, SMS' contract is up next year. he's yet to renew, and Lazio have just said it's possible he gets sold. reckon they'd sell for 30-40m pounds

in similar vein, would anyone take Harvey Barnes for depth out wide? I'm 50-50 on that vs keeping nelson

Not to claim I’m an ITK but my good friend’s client is friends with Nelson (they go on holiday together) and said he’s leaving us this summer as the club just don’t value him right now. Shame but plenty of more fish in the sea for this type of player. I would go for Harvey Barnes as a squad option as well.

I do not rate Barnes at all. He hardly gets his head up. He just charges blindly for me.

Maddison on the hand I would buy. I would buy him ahead of Mount all day long.

Locatelli could be a shout, unless he truly has deep rooted affinity for Juve. If so, good for him.

I don’t much about amount’s personality but I like Maddison in interviews. He seems really reflective and analytical about his own and the game in general. He could be a really good buy if Leicester go down. I wouldn’t have wanted him in the Odegaard role but coming to the squad now I could see him being a big player.

Tam yeah he does seem like a smart guy, as far as footballer go, so I think he'd work well with Arteta. Not sure he's the profile we're looking for though.

Get Renan in - he’s a Saliba level talent. Only other young centreback of similar potential is Bitshiabu

Not as smooth a Saliba but that physicality makes it a piece of piss for him
