Our defence as a whole has been a bot wobbly since the first Bayern game. Saliba himself has had some shakey moments since that. As has Raya. Rice and Partey had some mistakes in them last fee games. Hell, even Tomi had a tough time until he faced up with and dominated Semeydo. Probably just nerves with going for your first CL semi final and then the nerves to ensure we keep winning every game jusy try try to keep up with City and Pool. Only one who did not seem to be affected through this run has been White.

Big Willie think I read that the two games with the highest xG against us this season are the 5-0 win against Chelsea and the 3-2 win against Spurs.

Of course part of that is because we took early leads and they had to go all-out on the attack, but it's not like we haven't done that earlier in the season.

QuincyAbeyie Those games also featured Partey and while I thought he was good in both games, he inherently introduces a few more turnovers while also helping us attack more quickly with his verticality and ability to break lines. I wouldn't chalk it all up to that but I do think it contributed, in addition to him still ramping up to full match fitness imo.

Clrnc He could fit in in a few ways even though he'll cost a mint. He could probably play left 8 at a pinch, possibly play Martinelli's role given it's about width and byline runs so his left-footedness wouldn't rule it out, and also give Bukayo a much-needed smoko. 🚬

I like watching Olise but I'm not sure he'd be a good fit here. I've also gotten the impression that he's burnt a lot of bridges at Arsenal and City so I'd be surprised if he ended playing for Mikel or Pep.

Pepe LeFrits He spent his youths playing for Arsenal Chelsea and City. Chelsea tried to buy him back last year but failed

Pepe LeFrits he played for as a youth and I've heard a few claim that Arsenal (and City) weren't impressed with his attitude and that's why they aren't interested. Looks like he's matured but it's hard to know what he's like off field.

Clrnc He say our main target for the summer is a CB. We are interested in Hato, @Coombs favorite defender Murillo, and Braithwaite. The latter especially won't come cheap.

Most likely to pursue Hato first. We allowed him to sign new contract so as to keep good relationship with Ajax and allow them to sell at more expensive price.

Doesn't surprise me, there are a lot of signs that we'll move on both Zinchenko and Kiwior this summer and that'll create a pretty glaring hole in the squad.

I'd be interested in Olise and Eze as attacking 8's or even some wing depth. I also really like the look of Wharton as a 6. Palace has been very good since Glasner took over.

Already talks of him being in England squad for euros but Southgate will never.

I remember he was super impressive at Anfield, the acid test for all CMs under high pressure

Clrnc He's looked completely at ease every time I have watched him this season which is so impressive for his first year in the EPL. Hopefully he stays there and develops.
