I love Musiala but I have to say that this year has swayed me to believing that if we ever had the choice between Musiala and Wirtz, I want Wirtz.

If we are doing outlandish, Leao, Zirkzee and Gibbs-White this summer and then Wirtz next summer. Create our own Galacticos.

samthegooner I have always liked Wirtz - he's one of those players who was always destined to be a superstar - but I don't want to wait a year. I'd rather get Musiala now if there is a chance he is available and could be swayed. We'd have the best midfield without a doubt in the league.

The thing I really like about him is the way he just kept driving past us. And he can play a number of role. I think at Bayern, he has played DM, L8 and winger. He's exactly the kind of profile Arteta would cream himself over

Gibbs-White would be an ace signing

Claudius Love him as well but I have a hard time imagining us beating City to him if he does end up moving. Personally I think it's all agent posturing for a new contract at Bayern. If he is in fact available this summer, we should do everything we can to bring him in. He is an absolute game changer and there would be no more doubling Saka if he was a threat on the inside or opposite wing.

Claudius Musiala doesn't have the London connection that Rice does. City can't sign every player though. I think they'll go for Paqueta again, for example.

This summer, City is going to do some scary things in the transfer market. If they spent £250m, I wouldn’t be surprised. They’re going to make sure they don’t have a season like this again

Musiala would be awesome but that seems unrealistic. As does Wirtz.

I was really impressed with Bakayoko when we played PSV. Think he's definitely one to consider. Simons as well when we played them yesteryear.

Claudius I think it’s easier for us to raise our level more than they’ll raise theirs.

In theory we are a few signings away from being a mega team.

Claudius they need to spend it. KDB is playing less and less and without him they drop a level.

lorddulaarsenal agree, we have a higher ceiling than them. they have to focus on maintaining their level, and it won't be easy to replace what one of a kind players like KDB and rodri bring to the table. bernardo silva is also still playing footsy with barca. can't wait to see the back of that little menace

Gazza M I think precisely because of the Bernardo and KDB situations and the failure to adequately replace Gundogan (their fans hate Kovacic more than ours hate Havertz), they will go big on guys like Musiala this summer. I expect 2 mega signings.

This is the nearest to being complete our squad has been approaching a transfer window. With so many good options out there, with good revenue streams and backing I’m buckling up for the mother of all transfercoasters!

Agree with all that except I think we will need to keep Trossard for one more season to provide forward depth

That 8 player number is probably too many. Because before they go, we probably need to sell Lokonga, Ramsdale and Tavares.
