TambourineMan I am definitely a huge fan and would not complain at all.. The only reason I left him out is just that he would likely take a huge portion of our budget to bring in. But when I was watching UCL highlights this morning, I was definitely thinking that a window of Sesko and Wirtz would be immense even if it doesn't really address much winger depth.
Ironically, the internal struggle I'm having when thinking of next summer is that I really don't want to displace Havertz in the team - so how do we manage minutes with Sesko, Havertz, Martinelli, Trossard and Saka. But I'd rather have that problem to solve than not have the players - I do wonder if you can convince someone like Sesko to come in and not necessarily be our game in and game out 9. On the flip side, a midfield with Rice, Odegaard and Wirtz (with Merino, Nwaneri, and likely Havertz as depth) would be UCL title quality. I'd probably move Odegaard into the LCM with instructions to sit a bit deeper as our buildup coordinator while Wirtz can play a more output focused 10. Wirtz has impressed me with his work off the ball too - Alonso has done wonders for him there and he can really press.
