The problem West Ham have, is that everyone knows not only the amount they received for Rice, but how quickly their instalments are.

Had they taken less and not wanted all upfront, I am almost certain they would have been able to do business by now. Man Utd should have been desperate just to get Maguire off the books, now they are fucking getting £30mil for him! A total joke, and if West Ham follow this up with McTominay et al, all it will take is a couple of defeats early on, and they will be in free fall.

A complete disaster of a transfer window for them. A 101 on how not to do it.

Ricky1985 I think Maguire will do well and JWP will be mediocre but his set pieces will make up for it. Don't see how McTominay fits though. Soucek already fills that role and is at least as good as McT, better on the ball IMO but still limited.

Ricky1985 all grafters without much imagination and very poor value for money too. The reason why they did well in Europe was thanks to Paqueta Fornals etc.

Kudus deal being held up. The player wants a release clause in his contract due to the Caicedo saga with us in January but Brighton doesn't want to include any clause.

One of them is a CB and another a DM, they don't need imagination. I think they're both more than decent PL players too. And Ward-Prowse is at least an average PL midfielder - which is decent for a team like West Ham - but he also has world class set-piece delivery.

They all suit Moyes' football down to the ground.
