Remember reading at the start of the summer that City have a huge budget this summer thanks to low net spend, inflated commercial income and a few high wage players expected to leave.

Winning the treble will have got them a ton of prize money too. So yeah, if we can afford to spend over £200m they certainly can.

City will probably have made £80-100m more than us this season conservatively. They can spend easily. They also have the privilege of having an immensely valuable squad. So they can always sell players they don’t need and still make a mint. And then their fans will go on about how City have low net spend when the key here is they have massive capital base to play with.

The fact that they could give us two players outside their starting eleven last season and both of us improved in the process is just an indication of the hill we have to climb.

That would be nice! I don't think Kane is close to the world beater some do, but he is an extremely good player, and I had started to worry he would end up at Man United.

Let him fuck off to another league and win a few titles in a one team competitiom, where I won't have to hear him talked about too much.

It'd be a tragically dumb move by Kane, though - which, is in keeping because he does seem very dumb - when he could have been playing at Man City and getting a guaranteed 20 tap-ins a season and trophies galore. The Premier League is the only show in town right now - crazy to leave!

Kane going to another league is the ideal outcome.

Pepe LeFrits personally, I hope he stays at Spurs and they don't get any money for him. He's still a goalscorer, but I think he's over the hill now and, just my personal view, he doesn't retain that fear factor anymore.

I think he’s an excellent striker even if he’s overrated in England. Personally think he’s got another 5 good years left in him - good for us if he leaves

Would be surprised at Kane leaving the PL. Means he won't break Shearer's record too. Would he be the first England captain playing overseas? Or was Beckham captain when he was at Real? Can't remember the exact timeline.
