re: tonali, it really sounds like he didn't want to leave milan. the milan players were in uproar over Maldini and co leaving, and now the new hierarchy has done this. leao might be regretting that new deal now

Gazza M Yup as a club they showed their desperation and it only makes look like the plastic club they are. Look at for example City, they would have let him go because they understand you can never under any circumstance have a player look like he is bigger than the club. For the Qatari owners he was a status symbol and they wanted to keep him at all costs. City & PSG both Arab owned clubs but run in completely different ways.

I’ve been hyping up Tonali for 4 years. At this stage of our development, would rather get Rice. He’s farther along. Where Tonali is superior is being able to play at the base of midfield like Partey or Guardiola would, collecting the ball and being a double threat beating the press either through line breaking passes or dribbles. Where Rice bears him is his ability to get the ball into deep areas, and then both his ability to recover and retain the ball. The two might complement each other, but if only one right now for this league , Rice.

Gvardiol is a game changer for them. Probably the best CB in the market

Remember reading at the start of the summer that City have a huge budget this summer thanks to low net spend, inflated commercial income and a few high wage players expected to leave.

Winning the treble will have got them a ton of prize money too. So yeah, if we can afford to spend over £200m they certainly can.
