As much as I wanted Neto the above was always a massive mark against him. A lot of injuries and you wouldn’t be able to rely on him for 40+ games if needed.

De Ligt, Yoro, Mazaroui, Zirkee, Obi-Martin. Pretty busy window for them. If they don't improve this season they never will.

Clrnc from that group De Ligt is the only big useful player who comes in and creates positional stability. Chido is 16. Straight to u18s. And Yoro injured already. United are just starting their squad fixing journey

I can't say Utd business has impressed me tbh.

Yoro is a top talent but even Saliba (who's level he can reach but would be lucky to) was 3 years older when he was ready for the PL. If they want to get back to the top 4 he isn't a signing for the immediate future.

The rest of the signings aren't really that great. No secret that De Ligt & Mazraoui have been openly expendable at Bayern for a while with no takers outside of Utd & Zirkzee doesn't seem all that prolific. De Ligt also apparently earns 15m per year at Bayern. After Varane, Sancho etc. old habits die hard in Manchester.

Yeah, De Ligt for big money, after both Juve and Bayern were fine with letting him leave, is the exact opposite of the transfers you want to be making. You want to have players on the way up.

I don't think United cares about wasting money. They seem to have unlimited funds due to their income. It has never hurt them by buying wrong players on expensive wages for the longest time

Clrnc it clearly has hurt them. They still aren’t buying smart. This is try wrong people of player unless the ambition is to consolidate 4th. But they are far away from top 2

Didn't they buy this guy for just 5m 2 years ago? Then loaned him out for 2 seasons and now selling him for a major profit

They signed him on the expiry of his contract - like Obi-Martin to Y***ted. The 5M fee apparently was decided by a tribunal. He was extremely highly rated at the time if I remember correctly so not an unreasonable fee I would think.

Claudius it hurt them in terms of on pitch results, but I'm saying finance wise it has minimal impact on them. All the Falcaos, Martials, Varanes has barely put a dent in their coffers.

Clrnc they've had big PSR issues last summer. Not being able to move on the likes of Maguire and McTomminey stopped them from adding more players.
